Lots of really cool ideas, but I'm afraid that most of this is on the up slope of the Gartner Hype Cycle. Expect CDA or something similar to be bleeding edge in 5 years or so.

I felt the need to type that out to provide the backdrop for comments that are coming up next.
3:30 PDT: I just heard a Gartner analyst say that just about every tool from every vendor that was peddling their wares in the showcase is really not necessary for successful SOA implementation. And consider OSS - it's not for everyone, but those that have the skills and knowhow on how to glue them together, it works.
